Learning Together
Research shows that participation in an immersive environment and involvement in a community of native speakers are critical elements to successfuly master a foreign language. Traditionally, students would have to go through the difficult and expensive process of traveling overseas to participate in a study abroad program. The myChinese360 program brings China to the student by immersing them in our 3-D virtual world learning community. Students can now benefit from the positive elements of a study abroad experience, and avoid the logistical challenges of sending students overseas.
With the click of a mouse, students are teleported to our incredibly vibrant, fully interactive, 3-D virtual world and community space. Within this virtual world, students can participate in realistic field trips, create class projects, exhibits, and much more. Most importantly, our virtual world programs give students opportunities to meet and befriend Chinese students who also participate in the virtual learning community.
Virtual World Based Courses
We also offer courses in which class sessions convene entirely within our 3-D virtual world learning community. This program also combines elements of our virtual classrooms to create an immersive educational experience which would not be possible without our cutting-edge approach.
