China-based U.S. Certified Teachers
myChinese360 teachers are native Mandarin speakers from mainland China, and graduates of some of China's most prestigious universities including Peking University and Beijing Language & Culture University. The majority of our instructors have also completed Master's degrees in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.
The teacher certification process is facilitated by Region 4 Education Service Center (ESC) in Houston, Texas. As part of this process, all myChinese360 teachers complete a series of rigorous college level courses delivered online by Region 4 ESC.
Extensive Training and Experience
These courses are taught by experienced classroom teachers, and cover topics including American education theory, lesson planning, communicating with parents, working with special needs children, teaching languages other than English, and more.
Teachers must also complete thirty hours of classroom observation at an approved American expatriate school in China. During their first year, our teachers progress through a virtual internship process, working with experienced Region 4 ESC mentors who provide classroom observation and guidance.
